- Contribution to peace in Ethiopia, including the introduction of EWDNA and PLTE
- Invitation to the 6th International Loving Peace Art Competition Awards Ceremony
On the 7th, the Global Region 2 of the International Women's Peace Group (IWPG) (Regional Director Seo-yeon Lee) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Divabe Bacha, representative of the Ethiopian National Association of Disabled Women (EWDNA).
EWDNA (Ethiopian Women with Disability National Association) is a local non-profit, non-governmental organization headquartered in Addis Ababa with nine branches in Amhara and Oromia. It has 20,000 members and is an organization that helps disabled women develop their abilities and demonstrate their capabilities socially, economically, and politically.
Through this agreement, both sides agreed to hold an IWPG peace event to accelerate the realization of peace in Ethiopia, provide 'Female Peace Lecturer Training (PLTE)' to local women, and continue to communicate.
In addition, the International Loving Peace Art Competition, which is part of IWPG's policy to spread the culture of peace, was introduced.
Meanwhile, IWPG is a global women's NGO registered with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Department of Global Communications (DGC). It is headquartered in Korea and has over 110 branches and 660 partner organizations around the world. With the vision of ‘realizing sustainable world peace’, we are actively working to spread solidarity, propagate a culture of peace, women’s peace education, and enact laws and systems needed in the world.
